Yelp Changes the Game

The checking-in phenomenon made hip by Foursquare has just got a new player and a significant one. Yelp with 1.25 million users is introducing checking-in today as version 4.0 is released to the app store.
To put this in to perspective - Yelp has over six times as many users as Foursquare.
What I personally like about this addition is the ability to validate the reviews and I imagine there will be an ability to cross reference the reviewer's taste by seeing where they check-in most often.
Very cool addition.
