We got to talking with Cassie and her husband at dinner and ended up at the coolest evening at the ACE hotel in Palm Springs.
There's an authentic dive bar at the ACE and tonight there was a great mash artist. The set was one of the best I've heard in a long time. A great surprise thanks to Cassie. Next time you're in PS, make sure you check out the ACE.
The Parker is the residence of choice when hitting Palm Springs.
The design is 70's cool. The scene is relaxed LA escapism. The spa is one of the best in the country. But there are some warnings with this hotel. The first is their insistence to tell you about cancellation policies. Book a spa treatment and they tell there's a 24 hour cancellation policy. Book the restaurant and you're told of their 12 hour cancellation policy. There's way too much talk of policy that comes between what you want to book and the experience itself. They need to sort this out before it turns people off. The other thing to watch out for is the evening food. It basically sucks and it's expensive. There are way better places to eat in PS, so don't settle for mediocre.
