Zapped
No one wants to deal with security at the airport, so for a brand to be present in this area is a brave move.
I think this is a good move by Zappos.

There's a great thought left to us by Howard Gossage that states "Remember to always leave room for the mouse".
This work by Jet Blue does a good job in my opinion of keeping to Gossage's thinking. It lets the consumer in to the conversation and leaves them to work out what it means in relation to Jet Blue. I also like the fact that this wasn't just a pop up store initiative - I saw the advertising and brochure before I passed by the store this morning. I'm sure the store doesn't open, which makes me like this even more for thinking of a store placement as a 3 dimensional poster.
Why is outdoor such a let down in advertising?
I see work that at best just reminds you that a brand exists - and I've heard many say that this is the role of OOH. Does that seem right? We know that people like to play and yet this medium sits as 1 dimensional wallpaper. I took this picture of the Levi's poster this morning because this feels to me like mirroring a consumer observation. Surely we should leap from observations to something that triggers consumer thinking or at least aspirations. Interactive shouldn't just live in digital.
I admit it, I love Monocle magazine - every month your mind can be completely opened to what's happening in the world while at the same time they take you deep in to subject matter.
Loved this article on the Most Unwanted in 2010. http://bit.ly/7MG2qy Completely agree on America's obsession with old newscasters. Their general view that Twitter is in its 16th minute is a bit harsh but I love Brule's view that old media using twitter is like an old man walking down the street with a young bimbo on his arm. Their view that language is getting all messed up feels dated to me - language is an organism that finds its own forms and disciplines over time - I say let it adapt. Their observation that the Taliban heavily voted for Hamid Karzai is a strong indication of what we have to deal with there. Finally, Joseph Kony came to my attention when my friend Shirley Lo was working in Darfur. He's a rebel leader in Uganda and has massacred thousands, kidnapped children and used them as soldiers and continues to evade arrest even though he has an arrest warrant on his head from the International Criminal Court. This guy needs to be stopped and it will only be through increased awareness and pressure from us all that this will happen.I'm sure you've heard about the Black Cab Sessions but in case you haven't, here's Grizzly Bear showing the concept.
GENIUS - getting the Mona Lisa to talk to you
A new Beijing exhibition connects traditional art to its audience by answering their questions.
Layering digital over traditional to create a richer experience doesn't only make art more engaging but it makes it better understood.
