One Third is Our Life
Great article a couple of days ago on WSJ's All Things Digital that looks at Nielsen research on our internet usage.
The key finding is that a third of our time is spent on social and gaming. Also interesting is that this behavior is not reflected in mobile. What the mobile content people call snacking is being reflected in the data but email accounts for almost half the activity on the mobile. Perhaps this is driven by the work function. Texting is not reflected here as this is not an internet behavior. What would be interesting is to dissect all the behaviors around a mobile device to see how much talk versus texting versus internet use happens. Maybe that exists and somebody can share it with me. Enjoy the data http://bit.ly/axoaAS
