New Year Fir Tree is the Russian name for what many pagans call the Christmas tree.

The tradition in Russia was to go out to the forests and cut a tree down and bring it home to celebrate the new year.

This is now banned of course but the tree is still very much part of Russian life.

This is why this poster makes sense advertising a New Year's Eve party.
